GlouOSInstallation guide
Installing GlouOS takes a few minutes and no command line. Booting the USB takes you straight into the installer.
Download the image
Grab the latest release from the packages archive. Each release is a single .zip containing the disk image.
Create a bootable USB
Write the image to a USB stick (8 GB or larger) with your tool of choice, then reboot and pick the USB from your firmware boot menu.
Tip
Balena Etcher and GNOME Disks both work well and will not let you accidentally overwrite the wrong drive.
Run the installer
Boot from the USB and GlouOS starts the installer automatically. The wizard walks you through language, disk and account setup, and lets you pick apps to install right away, such as Steam, Discord, Spotify and OBS Studio.
Dual-booting with Windows
The installer can resize your existing Windows partition and set up a boot menu automatically.
Back up first
Resizing partitions is safe, but always back up anything important before changing your disk layout.
